The series has been honoured with two nominations at the highly respected Wildscreen Panda Awards, including Best Series and Best On-Screen Talent, recognising its compelling storytelling, stunning visuals, and the charismatic presence that brings the penguin world vividly to life.

In addition, Secrets of the Penguins has garnered two nominations at the Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam, where it is recognised in both the Cinematography and Children’s categories - an acknowledgment of the series' breathtaking imagery and its wide appeal to younger audiences.

Further adding to its growing list of accolades, the series has been officially selected for the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival, highlighting its global impact and resonance with audiences and critics alike.

ABOUT THE WILDSCREEN PANDA AWARDS

The globally acclaimed Panda Awards, the ‘Green Oscars’ of the international wildlife film and TV industry, have sat at the heart of the Wildscreen Festival since 1982. They celebrate the very best in the natural world storytelling craft, and remain the highest honour in the industry. The competition saw 682 entries, from 46 countries across the 17 categories, with 48% of entries featuring talent from underrepresented backgrounds spanning, identify as BIPOC, female, part of the LGBTQ+ community or living with a disability. The nomination jury was representative of industry experts from 20 countries, with over 60% from underrepresented backgrounds.The full list of nominees can be found here. The winners of each category along with the highly coveted Golden Panda for the best overall production, also sponsored by Warner Chappell Production Music, will be announced on 22 October at Wildscreen Panda Awards Ceremony which returns to the Bristol Harbour Hotel.
